INFORMATION
ABOUT INDIAN PASSPORT VERIFICATION :
The Passport Verification Branch function under the supervision of Dy.
Commissioner of Police Special Branch and Assistant Commissioner of
Police, Special Branch-II., An officer of the rank of API/PSI is posted
as in-charge of Branch.
At present following officers are working as supervisory officers &
IN-charge of the branch.

There
is acollection Center in the premises of C.P. office where the
passport application forms accepted forms accepted along with
Rs 1000/- D.D from Nationalize Bank I the anem of Passport Officer,
Pune. One Policeman appointed for this Collection Center. 1) H.C.2670 S.J. Bansode

Procedure
of Verification:
First
of all the passport applications are not received in the office.
The Branch received applications from Regional Passport Office
for verification. After submission of the application forms, one
copy of the same is sent to Passport Verification Branch for verification
report. The application forms are sorted out as per the residential
address given and sent to concerned local police station for verification.
After the receipt of verification report from local police station,
the name of the applicant & other details are scanned through
computer record and a report of findings is sent to the Regional
Passport Office for further process. As per Government instruction,
the verification should be completed in 3 weeks time.

Assistant Police Inspector & 8 Police Constables working under
this section. Character and autecedent Verification of persons
is carried out and relies sent to concerned.

from Government are verified. No fees are charged.
4.
Re verification
Table:
This
table carries out the verification for private persons, Semi Govt,
servant, Co-operative societies etc. charges for verification
are Rs. 100 by Demand Draft in the name of Commissioner of Police
Pune City. In this process concern private office, society, person
gives personal particulars form 2 passport photographs, copy of
school leaving certificate gives to person concerned. Time
Duration is 30 days.

Referenced
from R.T.O. office are verified and dispatched to R.T.O. Pune
for Badges and licenses etc.
6.
Police Clearance
Certificate:
To obtain
a PCC required documents are application in prescribed format,
2 passport photograph copy of passport with all stamped pages,
copy of school leaving certificate, copy of Ration card. Charges
are Rs. 100 by Demand Draft in the name of Commissioner of Police
Pune City. Time Duration is 30 days.
Registration:
Application is available at Counter No. 1 on the ground follr (click
here for the form) three forms required to be submitted along with
the following documents.
1. 4 copies
of photograph
2. Xerox copy of the passport page
3. Xerox copy of the visa page
In normal course the registration permit will be
delivered in 3 working days
4. Xerox copy of showing date of arrival date in India
5. ‘C’ forms or Landlord letter leave and license
6. Provisional admission letter (in case of student visa)
Application
for return visa for the max period of 90 days is available at concern
student counter ( click the form ) The
following documents are submitted
1. Original passport
2. Bonafide certificate form school / college in case of students
3. Copy of residential permit
Application
for extension of stay in India for students is available at counter
no. 3,4, and 5 (click the form) The following
documents are requires to be submitted along with the application.
1. Bonfide certificate from school / college / university, signed by
competent authority and with mentioning academic year and duration of
the course
2. Bank statement / copy of passbook
3. ‘C’ forms with Landlord agreement
4. Xerox copy of the passport page, visa page.
5. Xerox copy of residential permit.
6. Certified copy of the last year mark sheet
In normal course the registration paper will be delivered in 5 working
days

Application
for long-term visa extension is available at Counter No. 6(click
here for the form) .This extension is given to following categories
at foreigners locally if they are not overstaying.
1 Foreigners of Indian origin by birth or by parentages
2 Foreigners married to an Indian citizen.
3 Foreigners staying in India for more than 20 years.
The
following documents are required to be enclosed
1 Xerox copy of the passport page, visa page.
2 ‘C’ forms with landlord agreement.
3 Certified Copy of marriage certificate.
4 Proof of Indian origin.
The Pakistani
nationals are required to be registered within 24 hours of arrival at
Counter No. 7 They are not required to fill in any form. However, they
are required to produce the original passport and the details in the
register. They are required to produce the following documents.
1 Copy of Passport
2 Copy of Visa Page
3 Proof regarding the place where the Pak National is staying
4 Five photographs
5 Original visa application form
6 Original R.P. issued at check post
The form A
& B are available at counter No 7 (click
the form) specimen enclosed.
The following documents, depending upon reason for extension are required
to be enclosed in duplicate.
1 Copy of Registration
permit
2 Copy of Passport and Visa page
3 Medical certificate countersigned by Govt. Medical Officer if the
extension is health ground.
4 Copy of Air / Rail ticket, if the ground for extension is either
confirmation / non-confirmation of Air / Rail tickets.
5 Wedding cards in case of extension on the ground of 1st degree relation
marriage.
6 Copy of death certificate on the ground of attending death chillum
of first degree
Form A &
B & categorical report & a form with Col 1 to 18 are available
at Counter No 7
The following documents are required to be furnished in triplet.
1 Copy of registration permit
2 Copy of passport and visa page
3 Indemnity bond on Rs. 50 /- Court Stamp)
4 Two photographs
Registration
of Bangladesh Nationals:
The Bangladeshi
nationals on student visa are required to be registered with in 7 days
The form is available at counter No 7 (click the form). (Specimen is
enclosed)
The following documents are required to furnished depending upon the
ground of extension.
1 Copy of passport
& visa page
2 Medical Certificate countersigned by Govt. Medical Officer, if the
extension is on health ground
3 Marriage cards if extension is on the ground of marriage of first
degree relation
4 Residential proof
5 Last year mark sheet
